I got my SP2 CD in the mail the other day so, I thought I'd take care of
this on my off day. I installed it today and it seems to have gone
smoothly. My only issue is that now Windows seems to start slowly. Whereas
before I had a cold boot time of around 30 seconds I'm up to somewhere like
a minute and a half. When the desktop finally appears the icons are all
blank and then slowly start to materialize. My running programs (firewall,
AV, battery icon, touchpad icon, power setting icon) in the task bar are
slow to appear as well. Has anyone else experienced this?
