Thanks for the idea Ithink mine lists different than that. Seems to me in order to reinstall and get my working printer back up again I had to go into printers and faxes and notice that I had one job on the newer printer. When I tried to delete IT I kept getting error it was busy which didnt make sense but when I finally found that icon that said 1 on it I realized, right clicked and canceled pending document and then was able to delete and reinstall the newer printer and it now works.. that doesn't work for the old hp.. something else is still wrong. sighhhh. But thanks for another idea..anything is worth trying.... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judith" <jtb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 1:38 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: HP problem Just noticed something when I went into my control panel, printers and there was a list of printers under the add printers folder. I clicked on PaperPort (which is a software program and not a printer) and it came up with a dialog box which looked like it would list what jobs would be in there. Have you clicked on your HP listed on this page and see if you get a box to come up with jobs listed. If there are any in there -- delete them and see if that gets rid of your problem. Heck I didn't even know this was available until I deleted my laser jet (no longer have it).
