I'm afraid I can't offer much help except with Win98SE updates. As you can
see, Google turns up copious amounts of update files for SE. Their value can
only be determined by a desperate Windows user hoping to find a missing
file, or files.

Ontracks.386 is part of an old disk manager that was installed on that
machine to allow the use of a HDD larger than 137GB.
Unfortunately it has caused problems around the world in about 80 different
languages! The last file I saw was unrecognizable because of the pock marks
caused by users pushing it away with 10 foot poles??? I'm not aware of any
solution that includes keeping Ontrack and a large HDD.
Installing Win98 "over the top" will not replace or repair any third party
files so the answer is "no"......... it won't work.
Will it mess up the other operating system? I doubt it, but the question is
moot since reinstalling Windows 98 won't accomplish anything.

(I don't imagine that this would be a good time to remind you that kicking a
dead horse doesn't work? lol)

found.

My Question(s) is will your repair instructions work on the
98 and install the "Ontracks.386"?

Will it not mess up the other operating system?

If I lose all the updates for the 98, where can I go to get
them back?"<<
