 I'm not planning on putting much money into this I've got 4 hard drives 
collecting dust ranging from 20 to 40 gigs. I'll try one of them.  I also have 
an old win98se oem install cd, from my first computer.  I can put that on 
without a problem.
  I also think I'll d/l and burn to cd a copy of lenux.  
 After the compaq died, I was using a OOLLDD system had a 566 MHZ(?) CPU max-ed 
out ram at 384mb.  SLOW does not even begin to describe it.  I keep it around 
as a just in case unit.
