For best performance look for a card that supports at least 720p output via
an HDMI port.  Of course, 1080p is better but will also be more expensive.  

Note:  Some cards support 720p but only via analog port not digital.
Digital is preferable, but a VGA port can put out a stunning display also.

Best:  HDMI  digital HD video and digital Dolby 5.1 surround sound
Excellent:  DVI  digital video  audio from audio card out.  Must use digital
audio ports for true surround sound 
Very Good:  VGA  analog video   audio from audio card out.
            Component video   analog video  audio from audio card
Acceptable: S-video and composite video

I saw on their site the specs for this video card, most of them I wasn't 
sure what they even meant :) Specs listed at the bottom of this page but the

only 8500GT has 256mb

I'm not worried about the cost of a new card if it is going to improve 
viewing performance..
