Thanks for the info on how you turn your external on/off..........I 
appreciated that.

Well when I read this last night was getting too late for me and I crashed, 
lol.

Ok, this morning I turned on the external and my system and started the scan 
right away and that was 10:51 am. Before the I started the scan it showed 
the drive in windows explorer as having 500 MB and 111GB free.  It did NOT 
ask me about running anything on the next reboot.......just immediately went 
right into the scan.

And it's now 12:30 and it only has 2 green boxes in the progress bar for 
Phase 1.  So we're going on 2 hrs and it's barely done phase 1.

Seems it's not at all working like you thought it would.  I'll keep it 
running, but I need to do email and other stuff so i hope it's ok to do 
that..........but maybe that another big no no????
