I went to the gateway site and looked at the animated "product tour" and it showed where to find the battery. It's right at the back spine underneath the screen centered in the middle. It looks to me that back spine is a pop open flap for easy access to the battery. Click on the animated product tour in the laptop section of the site When the tour starts, click "Back" then select "Battery" and it will show you exactly where the battery is with a square border hovering over the spot I don't know what model your laptop is but this is close as I can see How you may be able to find the battery... http://www.gateway.com/products/gconfig/prodhmseries.asp?seg=hm&gcseries=gtw ym210&clv=Btn1 TimR -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bluebelle Sent: Monday, April 04, 2005 11:47 PM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: CLOCK Gateway is not very helpful about how to open the case to replace a battery, perhaps if you follow your part number for your notebook you can find it---- Do they still have the newsgroups for Gateway products? My first computer was a Gateway and I learned a lot from those newsgroups. I know about the PC's but not laptops.
