Terry;
Having just gone thru' that - open 'Regedit' (Type it into Run, hit 
Okay.),find and delete all keys that mention AVG or Grisoft in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

and this should remove any and all signs of AVG.
Good Luck - be not afraid of thr Registry.
