I have a temperamental computer with XP operating system. Most of the time I turn it on it begins to do what needs to be done. But over the course of the last 8 or 10 months it sometimes decides to do nothing. When the on button is pressed, all it does is hum...lights on the computer are on , the screen stays black. In the beginning, turning it off & then on would solve the situation, but lately it goes for a week or more before it comes back to life. It has programs that are not compatible with Vista on it & that is what makes it important. I have the sense that at anytime the 'hum might give way to the kiss of death. Is there an easy to use system that might allow me to do a full system back up, programs & all?
