I can't boot my wife's HP Pavillion zv5000 laptop to the desktop; only to the
login screen. This is because the mouse pad is not working. in other words,
the pointer is immobile.
Also, the screen flickers whenever the AC
power adapter is connected. Swapped power adapter, flickering
continued. No loose connections. No flickering with battery power
alone.
Any ideas for solving these problems will be greatly appreciated.
