That is normal for a power supply to let go if the fan stops or it fills up with dust, they should be cleaned every three months or establish a periodicity based on opening and cleaning fans and processors fins and fans. You should have a least a 250 watt power supply. I turned on my PC Monday night and smoke started to come out of the Power Supply. I turned the machine off. I live in the country and just got into town to get some computer-fix-it books and to check email on the public computer. Thanks for all your help. Hope to be back soon.
