Hi Bob,

Just FYI -

We have started to run Spam Assassin on a trial basis on our mail
server. So far the service is running okay - but needs a lot of
tweaking, specially running under qmail [that's the Linux mail server]

We [My Boss and myself] worked on it for 3 hrs today and it still misses
quite a fair bit of mail and designates other mail as spam while it is
not, I guess there is still a fair bit of tweaking ahead of us.
At the moment we are running it on only 2 email addresses , mine and my
boss's. But looking through the logs we see that my email contributes to
about 1/10 of all the email we receive !!!! [Yep believe me I receive
way to much mail - LOL].

As yet we have not figured out how to set up things so that each user
can set his/her own preferences, under qmail [Linux] mail boxes are
read-only, so no one except for administrators can play round with the
mail. We shall see, lots more to learn.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and

and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to
find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by
a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know
even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
