I suggest keeping our general meeting. That is what PAS is sbout. Star tours is
an extra . If we can reschedule Jan meeting one week to do both then 2 meetings
one week apart is better than cancelling the meeting. We do not yet have a Jan
speaker. We have a Feb speaker. This should be Mike's call. Sam

Jan 18, 2018
Country Meadows Elementary
wants a star party. Address is

Star tours members are getting $50/scope
Time 5pm to 7pm
I just got the email now.
Last year, it was estimated 500 in attendance
Looks like we provided 3 scopes, Mike and Kevin
The Dilemma is:
PAS Meeting is scheduled for Jan 18th.
I want to make sure, before i Accept this event and book it, that we have 3+
scopes and possibly Kevin and Mike to do this event on the school's chosen
date.
If not, i will decline PAS's attendance at the school.
If you are going to ask me about moving the PAS meeting, the guest speaker for
January would also need to be moved, so we'd have to see if we can move the
Speaker before we can move the dates of these events.
I originally thought, why not ask Jenny if we can move the PAS meeting and
Telescope Workshop, which would be swapping rooms in the LS building to G-147.
But then, i got to thinking, we have a Guest Speaker who has a schedule and I
think Sam just got a speaker for January... It's hard enough to get a speaker,
but then to ask them to move their date...
So, I want to make sure i have enough scopes to cover the school event before i
book it. Please respond with your ideas.
In your response, please include the following, if you have an opinion you wish
to share about this dilemma.
* Can you do the school event on this date?
Include Scope, or activity (Kevin and Mike)
Do a tentative sign up for this event in a reply email.
* Would you prefer to have me try to move the PAS meeting off this date, so you
can attend both events?
Sam, can we do this Guest Speaker moving to Jan 25?
