As of 7 am Saturday morning, the weather for tonight at MIke's averaging 8
different weather forecasts is
40% clouds 8 mph winds 19% rain
There will be a potluck at 6 pm and lecture at 7 pm and then a discussion of
the 70th anniversary celebration of PAS for Oct 11th. If Mars appears
we will take a look at it probably around 10 pm, if there is a break in the

As of 9 am Thursday morning, the following are averages of 8 different weather
forecasts for Sat night at Mike's in Carefree:
41% clouds 6 mph winds 19% rain
The actual individual forecasts were all over the place (14 to 70% clouds
3 to 10 mph winds 1% to 60% rain)
This must be because we are in the monsoon season.
I will update Sat morning, but even if we cannot observe, we still have a
potluck and then a lecture by Mike.

Good morning PAS Members,
I'm looking ahead at the weather for Saturday.
Current forecast says rain at 15%, clouds at 15% and
winds at 6mph for the predicted time of the star party to view Mars.
Unless it is pouring rain, the Potluck and Lecture are planned to happen. If it
is raining or too cloudy or too windy for the star party portion, you will know
about it closer to Saturday via this email thread.
Just looking ahead. Doesn't look like the Lecture and Potluck will be cancelled
at this time. The star party needs a better forecast, but I hope to have Sam's
weather update closer to Saturday.
Everyone have a super day. Thanks for taking a moment to read up about
Saturday's event. If you haven't already RSVP'd to attend, and if you know what
food you are bringing to the potluck, please put it in your RSVP so we have an
idea of what NOT to bring, to create duplicates at this potluck!
