PAS Members & Jenny,

So, the Thursday event has possibility of rain, therefore the outdoor portion
is or may be canceled. And the indoor portion isn't seeing any demos other than
my handouts, my moon demo, maybe a game with the kids that attend
and Mike. That isn't enough to keep a group busy for an hour.
What else is there? Do we have anyone bringing anything to demo?
Like How to survive a night in astronomy? The tools needed, or we could display
some telescopes from the back room to look at and explain how they work.
We do have RSVP's. But is it worth the drive, without a star party to keep
the majority of the guests busy, to put up with rain. And we know that
if it is bad weather, people just don't show up.

What are your thoughts? Post them to the list serv (except Jenny, unless you
are on the list serv). Let's discuss this before we have or cancel tomorrow's
event.
I know MIke can entertain for hours, but I didn't' want that to be all
there was to keep him busy.
I could bring a bunch of demos, and do them all if needed, but would
rather have some help.

RSVP right now is 1 adult and 5 of her kids. I haven't made it through the
rest of my email from 2 days ago but that is my goal over the next couple
hours, to get caught up in email so i know what's going on with who,
where, when, etc.

I'm open for suggestions, even if the suggestion is to cancel the event.
3 votes for Cancel and we cancel.

Also, if you are planning to attend, take a moment to RSVP in the calendar.
This way, if we do cancel, i have a chance at letting you know we are canceled
especially if you don't make it back into your email before you depart for the
drive to PVCC. I will ask for confirmation you got the cancel email, and then
call
you if I don't' hear from you a couple hours prior to the event.

Post your ideas now, thanks.
Have a superb day!
Terri
