Terri, NOAA says 25% cloud cover Sat Night in Carefree from 5 pm until 10 pm, then 27% cloud cover from 11 pm until 4 am. I don't think it will be very good if this forecast holds. Accuweather says stargazing will be 6 out of 10 Sat night. I hope the newspaper article says for the public to rsvp so that if the clouds are bad, Mike can call off the public. Take care, Sam-----Original Message-----

Since Saturday is Astronomy Day and the peak of the Orionids Meteor Showeras well as a public event and the newspaper got a hold of this event and ispublishing it, I think 25% cloud cover, should be tolerated. The meteorshower is best viewed around midnight, and by then, the clouds shouldblow away.
Can i have a forecast sent through the list serv about Saturdayfrom 7pm to say 2am. Let's see how it looks for that range of time.
I see 11% cloud cover to tonight. What do you see?

NOAA says 12 % cloud cover tonight at PVCC Blk Mtn which is probably ok. But Sat at Mike's it says 25% cloud cover which would be poor. Sam-----Original Message-----

This weather is coming from Hurricane Paul, just recently upgraded from tropical storm status. Now that it is a hurricane some of the uncertainty of the forecasts will stabilize and we should have a better idea what the weather will be like for the next few days.
Accuweather is saying that Wednesday night should be good...0% cloud cover and 5 mph winds. Thursday is a little worse 12% cloud cover at 6 increasing to 48% by 9 and winds of 2 mph. Friday is looking good. 0% clouds and winds of 3 mph. Saturday is to Friday.
