Alex, i love your ideas.
Maybe we will have enough attendance to do both Alex and Kevin's ideas
in one class.
I like it,
let's see what the group says after i write up something to make it work in
our favor..
as a class setting.
Thank you all for your input. Input is very welcome.

Just a few thoughts…
I like the idea of assignments/presentations. Rather than assigning
constellation contents, another way to distribute the objects might be
“Moon + planets,” "double stars + open clusters,” “globular clusters +
bright nebulae” and “faint nebulae + galaxies.” (Did I miss anything?)
My reasoning for this redistribution is that many of us have modest scopes
that will show the planets, stars and open clusters. Some of us have
larger scopes that will resolve globulars. And a few of us have scopes that
will show detail in distant galaxies.
On October 1st the Moon is a very thin crescent that sets early. Venus is
right behind it. Saturn is just above Antares and Mars is just above the
Teapot’s spout. So the early evening will be rich with Solar System
objects. As the sky darkens the fainter objects will become viable targets.
This still isn’t exactly right, but I think I’m on to something…
Refinements?

The Homework assignment will be created and sent out *Sept 19 *to give

All Students must do the assignment as part of their attendance fee. The
fee is free to attend, just be a member, but to attend, homework must be
done. It's usually easy and good to know homework.
