The location looks better for Desert Foothills Astronomy Club. If they want us
every month, perhaps we could share the duties with Dan Heim's club. Take care,
Sam

That would be awesome Tim, if you can swing by
and check it out. Arial view shows a nice
dark location, not much out there.

Let me know what you find.
It sounds like a star party would be what they want,
and maybe Mike, too.
Now i have to let them know how booked
we are with events, and ask what day of the week
they prefer, as I would prefer Fri or Sat if I'm
going to do the event.
And bathrooms... after hours.
What else did i see in the replies from the earlier
discussion?
So, i guess we might not charge them, but
if advertising that we will be there, to draw
in a bigger crowd, and doing it on a regular
basis, I can set up events like that.
But, like I said, I don't want to be the only
one attending this event, and every time. I am going
to get worn out, used up and then someone will have
to take over my position, as i will burn out. So,
let's work to make this easier on all of us,
and can i have some people let me konw if they
can do these type of events?

I heard John Miller mention he could do them
when he is in town, that works for me. Tim mentioned
doing them. William and I can if they are not on Mon,
Tues, Wed or other days that have PAS events. The Mon,
Tues and Wed are my teaching evenings. NO events
on those days so that I can attend.

Don mentioned he might do a few of them.

So, send me updates. Who can cover these events?
And we will wait on Tim's reply as to what he finds
out at the location.
And then i will email the contact again, giving her some
ideas of what we can offer, in trade for announcing
we will be there to as many people as she can, promoting
PAS for us. Even if it is only to the patrons to visit
that library.

And are we in agreement, no charging the library?
But maybe ask if we can borrow a meeting room
now and then, in trade...such as have an event in
January, for example but have credit to borrow
a room in Feb if needed. Or something to that idea.

ok, input... give me yours.
and do a mini, not set in stone, RSVP if you think
you can do this type of event once or twice a year, so that
we can spread the fun between us.... Thanks

Terri

Appaloosa is a bit further away - it's south of Pinnacle Peak off of Miller
(northern end of Hayden). The good news is that it is quite a bit darker there
than at the Mustang library.

I'll swing by there and get a feel for the layout and report back so we can
determine how many scopes would actually work if we decide to do anything with
them.
