***PARTIAL*** Solar Eclipse this Thursday, viewable in the afternoon. Below
is the timeline, as posted at:

It is VERY IMPORTANT to note that only a fraction of the sun will be
blocked.

Direct viewing of the sun, thus, REQUIRES solar filters glasses, or solar
filter panels, and/or solar filters for telescopes, and/or Solar Telescopes.

If using a normal telescope (with filter), DON’T FORGET the finder scope.
Meaning, it must be blocked or filtered as well. EVEN WHEN NOT IN USE.

That last one is important. The finder lenses can be seriously damaged if
not protected. (Things melt in a hurry – such as glues… and lamenants.)

This is nothing to fool around with….. Serious damage to your eyes, and/or
equipment can be just about instantaneous.

But with proper protection, this is a sight to enjoy.
