Like most of us I slept through it this morning, unfortunately. But from
the news descriptions it does sound like a bolide. I was lucky enough to
see a bolide once while observing with EVAC at a dark site, and it lit up
the field like daylight, it was blinding to look at, and exploded into
fragments, leaving a persistent smoke trail. Mark
