Wow Sam that sounds like a great time. I was there with some people on
Saturday. We did a lot of people watching and walked around the exhibit
booths.

Terri, that is fine with me.
You may want to add: "we also saw Summer Glau (Firefly and Serenity fame);
International movie shorts; Cosplay fashon show; Adventures and Disasters
in Science; Finding other planets with life; Star Trek Fan Films; NASA
Projects; Geeky Things to do in Az; Evolution, Vaccines and GMO's; Local
Sci fi Comedians; and hundreds of exhibit booths containing comic books -
action figures - artwork - costumes and more." Sam

Last Saturday, Mike Marron, Vera, Frank and I spent the whole day
at the Phoenix Comicon. I attended a dozen panels and events which were a
lot of fun. The best of them in my opinion was a panel on 50 years of
Humanism in Star Trek. It demonstrated that Star Trek especially during the
Gene Roddenberry years, was based on Secular Humanism and was anti-war,
anti-slavery, anti-superstitions, anti-racism, pro-equal rights,
pro-environmental protection, pro-universal healthcare, etc... Star Trek
emphasized justice and tolerance. If you want to see a small part of this
seminar, go to You Tube and type in Star Trek 50 years of Humanism. The 15
minute video is fantastic. Sam

PS Howard, thanks for the Crash Course Astronomy list. Can't wait to
dig in and watch them. Sam
