my warranty on a box I bought in 2011. The cheapest avaiable option was
for something like $295 (online) with options ranging up to $695 (shop.)
Eff that!!
I'd like to try cleaning it myself but need to learn a bit more. Have
any of you experienced this? I am considering first upgrading to the
latest release of MacOS. Is that advisable given the current state of my
box? Ordinarily I'd consider buying a new box but that's not currently a
possibility. How about buying an external firewall for my in-house
network? I used to have one but it died and I never replaced it.
