You should read Sheila Jackson Lee's gun control bill previously sent. You will
need a license to possess any firearm and any ammunition. A psych evaluation is
requited to get the necessary license. Stay on good terms with any ex-wives,
because "as part of the psychological evaluation, the licensed psychologist [is
required to have] interviewed any spouse of the individual, any former spouse
of the individual, and at least 2 other persons who are a member of the family
of, or an associate of, the individual to further determine the state of the
mental, emotional, and relational stability of the individual in relation to
firearms." If you are convicted of possessing an unlicensed firearm or even a
single round of ammunition, the minimum fine is $75,000 and the minimum
sentence is 15 years. I'm not making this up.

It is almost 52 years to the day that journalist Peter Arnett's dispatch from
Vietnam was published with the famous quote "'It became necessary to destroy
the town to save it." Now we have what I see as a modern equivalent of that
attempted to be justified in this widely-cited article in Time Magazine. The
stated premise of the various actions described in the article---that Trump was
going to steal the election and that massive, collective action was necessary
to preserve democracy---is ludicrous on its face, and I wonder whether the
authorette actually believes it. Given the vast and hugely successful, not to
mention grotesquely defamatory and falsely based, conspiracy to demonize Trump,
primarily on the Left but also the entrenched army of Never Trump
self-described Republicans, it would not surprise me. In any event, the article
is a typically one-sided advocacy piece which completely ignores the real and
fundamental scandal of the election---the carefully plotted and exquisitely
executed fraud that purportedly put Biden over the top in the key precincts,
counties and states. Whether the truth about that will ever come out is an open
question, but given the Left's increasingly ubiquitous control over all the
levers of the media, it is unlikely.
