Don’t know about where you live but there are a number of “Chinese” restaurants
in this area and also in Memphis. I really enjoy their meals and buy one
often. Yes, you bring it home and eat it there, but it is low carb and I enjoy
eating them. If I get the quart size I have no problem getting two meals out
of it. I really enjoyed watching them fix the meal at the one in Memphis. The
two I use there, you can’t see them cook it. Hal

You look nicely set up for a comfy meal! I always have my iPad with me when I
eat alone. They are excellent company haha.
I started Irena Macri’s Low-Carb July Challenge
<https://irenamacri.com/low-carb-challenge-home/> on Thursday. Not that I
intend it to be just for a month, but I did need a bit of a prompt. I started
reining in the carbs a few days before that, but am resigned to cooking
everything I eat for the next month. (I actually hope I can have a meal out
occasionally but it’s notoriously hard to find healthy, low carb food when
out.) I like this challenge because it’s not religious, if you know what I
mean. It’s merely about the carbs, 50-100 g a day so not super restrictive, and
no one shoots the people down in flames who use unhealthy commercial low-carb
products, which is a really nice change. Not that I use them, but others do and
if that’s the best way they can manage then good for them. We can’t always have
or do everything we want.
So I’m actually not even counting carbs, but I have cut out my breakfast toast
and am making all my own food, and I almost never make food that is not low
carb, so I’m pretty sure I’m good for this challenge, except when I add wine!
(And I mean to my glass, not to my food haha.) 😉
It’s nice to be so relaxed about it. When I’m doing keto, where there is a
strict carb limit, I have to keep a much closer eye on things. And historically
I’ve also counted calories which adds to the hassle. (Still, it works. I just
want to see how I go with a more relaxed way of eating this time. So far, so
good – I’m losing weight without counting a thing.)
Good luck with your low carb. It’s such a delicious way of eating, for me not
least because I start to feel really good after the first few days, and wonder
why I didn’t do this sooner. 🙂 (Sometimes I don't know how un-good I have been
feeling until I start actually feeling good. 🙂)
Vicki. :-)
