Vicki, I have a long slot toaster(a 2-slice Quisinart) that I bought at Bed
Bath and Beyond. It has one long slot with 7 toast levels and defrost and bagel
buttons. On the chance that they still had it, I went to their website—they
didn’t have it. BUT, they *did* have a long slot 4-slice toaster. Here is the
address:

Hi Estela,
I have never seen that brand either… did a search and it doesn’t appear to be
sold here. Boo.
We generally only have sourdough, which is why we want a long-slot toaster.
It doesn’t tend to come in neat square slices! It definitely takes longer to
toast, similar to your whole-grain bread I imagine.
It’s 7:40am here, and time for breakfast. The toaster here does toast on both
sides, unlike our toaster at home, but one slot toasts a lot browner than the
other. Sigh!
Vicki. :-)

Vicki, I'm happy with my Taurus long-slot toaster (image attached), bought
years ago mainly for aesthetic reasons (most toasters are ugly), but a lot
depends on the type of bread. White bread, which I never eat by choice,
quickly over-toasts or burns around the edges. However, whole-grain bread
from the bakery takes longer to toast, and never burns, even on high.

Haha yeah but the toaster has a teeny footprint, unlike this thing! They are

You likely can replace the toaster with this oven…use it as the toaster?
At least..give it all a try….play Tetris with kitchen appliances…hehehe

Yeah sounds good but there literally is no bench space. Sometimes I have
the drawer air fryer out AND the Thermomix and then there’s no room to
put plates down and I can’t open the microwave door… all we have out on
the bench is the microwave, espresso machine and toaster. The first two
are way too big and heavy to move regularly, and where the toaster sits
there’s no room for another appliance!
It’s a small kitchen. :-(

Yes……timer, and everything…if it is like mine.
I use it for toasting bread….I plan to test out functions as a

Multi-functional. Maybe put something you have out now away and keep
this one out there…?

You mean it’s automatic? You can time the toast/grill functions?
Even so we need a toaster because we don’t have the bench space to
leave the new thing out all the time. (We’re still scratching our heads
about where we’ll store it!)

Hi folks,
We’re in the market for a long-slot 4-slice toaster.
Reading the product reviews is depressing. It doesn’t matter how much
or how little you pay, it seems you get those who are happy, and many
more who are not. Uneven toasting appears to be ubiquitous between
brands, and is a bugbear of mine given our current toaster, a
Breville that wasn’t cheap, only toasts on one side. (I had a much
cheaper Breville years ago that was great, but the reviews also say
that model has been updated and the updated version toasts unevenly.)
Even toasting, according to the reviews, seems to be an unattainable
holy grail.
Does anyone have a toaster they are really happy with?
Vicki. :-)
