We had such a lovely evening. The venue is just beautiful (Jules, we asked
what it was before they took it over 20 years ago and they said it was the
Edmund Barton Cafe, which was apparently a classy cafe that serviced the Edmund
Barton Building opposite) but whatever, it was gorgeous.
The food was great, the service was excellent, and we had a nice little chat
with the owner (the female half ;-)) who was doing front of house. She was so
jealous of us having a relaxing weekend…

cooked with olive oil

thin slices of veal seasoned with mild Aleppo chili, char-grilled served with
leek & potato skordalia & lemon & mustard sauce
My main:

Hiramasa king-fish slices, marinated & char-grilled, served with olive oil
braised leeks & baby carrots & lemon dressing
