Here in Spain I have not a clue what spuds I am buying as no name is put to
them. It is all a bit of hit or miss. In Mercadona, biggest supermarket chain
and owner one of Spain’s richest men....they do sell spuds that have been
washed and clean. Then I can go to Super Turre in my village and they are all
dirty. The ones cleaned are already sprouting.
Back in the UK for baking I get the Maris Pipers and when in season the
Jersey Royals...yum yum.
Back in my US Florida days it was the Idaho for baking but not seen anything
similar here.
Oh, now I am getting hungry for a baked spud with lashings of butter and sour
cream and some fresh salsa. Might have to see what I have in the fridge🤔😜🤣
