Yeah, that date is not lost on me…
Right now, looks possibly like landfall as a Cat 4 hurricane.
Right now, latest track shows landfall west of us. I live just barely across
the parish line form New Orleans proper in Metairie.
I live a block or so away from Lake Pontchartrain.
I’ve staged my valuables and am about to crash and get up early to load
my car and bug out.
I’m driving up up Little Rock to stay with my mom a few days and watch
things from up there.
If it stays on track, we should be spared here the se severe damage, but
likely will be wide spread power outtages, and frankly I don’t wanna b
cheer for potentially days during end of August heat and humidity with no AC
and no tv/internet.
But at worst, as strong as this things looks to possibly get, if it shifts
east a bit it could be really bad here…
So, not taking chances with this one…
I’ll update as it goes on.

I think I e posted on here before my version of that, where I’ve
charcoal grilled my eggplant and the baked it layered lasagna style with
ricotta, etc.
That’s the way I usually do it.
Bu this was my first time in a long time to try to emulate the more
traditional kind of eggplant parm.
Ugh, watching the weather in the gulf…with potential storm coming,
just went out and filled my car up with gas, and picked up some
prescriptions I was low on,
This time of year, always gotta be prepared to bug out of town…
Anyway, I’m home and pleasantly full…need yo clean kitchen and
pit leftovers in fridge.
