We stayed in a serviced apartment in Braddon for 3 weeks when we arrived in
Canberra, and it’s a great location. I’m not sure exactly where my friend is,
but the Indian restaurant I have in mind (Blu Ginger
https://www.bluginger.com.au/ ;<https://www.bluginger.com.au/>) is close to
Braddon and also, importantly, easy walking distance from my work, where I get
to park on weekends. Parking in Civic is horrific. We wanted lunch there last
Sunday and drove around and in and out of carparks for quite some time before
deciding it just wasn’t worth it. (I didn’t have my security pass with me to
access the work carpark, or things would have been easier. I won’t make that
mistake tomorrow!)

Where in Braddon is your internet friend? I used to live not far from there
in Ainslie and my best friend lived in Torrens St. all changed since
then...lots of apartments I believe. As you say, very trendy. I want Indian
now that you have mentioned your Sunday lunch. There is a fab Indian
restaurant just a few minutes from me so might just try a takeaway.

though) and tomorrow (Sunday) we’re going out for Indian food at lunch time
with a young (to me… she’s just over 30 I think!) internet friend who’s
moved here from Melbourne. Her parents bought her an apartment in Braddon,
very central and trendy. I may be slightly jealous. ;-) I’ve never met her
in person before, and going by her posts on FB I’m not sure we have anything
in common, but hey, I have no real reason to say no. And good Indian food
is… good!
