Cheer up Kelly...staying home, watching movies and cooking isn't a bad way to
get through this.
Over the past year I've learned it's no big deal to skip Christmas,
Thanksgiving, Easter, birthdays and anniversaries. I'm sure spending a lot
less money! But then what's the point of working?
Remember the beautiful grill I bought a year or so ago and sent the picture?
Today I grilled eggplant, zucchini, red peppers and Brusels sprouts, what a
great flavor comes through with grilling (on the stove-top). And with the
residual heat when the veggies were done, I threw on some turkey fillets to
quickly sizzle.
To dress the veggies, I mixed some homemade ali-oli with fresh Dijon
mustard...jeesh that stuff burns right to the top of your head!!!, but mixed
with the ali-oli, one part Dijon to two of ali-oli, it was just right.

Is anyone cooking anything fun this weekend?
I’ve got a big cauliflower I’m thinking of trying this with:

This is the weekend before Mardi Gras...just seems weird not celebrating...I
may allow myself some carb indulgence and go buy a small king cake to snack on
this weekend, as a bit of an observance..,
What are y’all up to?
