My live in helper who has lived with us for 24 years turned 61 today.
We were going to go out for a Japanese dinner (her request) but our family
got served with a quarantine order cos my brother (fully vaxxed who we met
last week) tested covid positive so we have to stay at home for 10 days.
So we made do with a dinner from my freezer. I cooked for her instead of her
always cooking (wonderfully) for all our birthdays.
We are now super happy n full.
Sashimi oysters. Sakura shrimp. Japanese scallops in red pepper n butter
sauce. Grilled eel (unagi kabayaki). Prosecco n sake. Burp.
Japanese style (Basque burnt) cheesecake baked by my daughter will be cut
later...
