No sign of wasps, not surprising with that scrum of bees and a low
entrance deterring them.

I was very interested in Paul's account of washboarding because some of
the bees in my hive are doing the same thing. There are two distinct
groups of bees, one flying bees and the other washboarding bees.
Neither group seems to take notice of the other. The returning flying
bees are clearly focussed on getting to the entrance and sometimes have
to climb over washboarding bees to get in. The washboarding bees don't
seem to notice each other or the flying bees.
