How interesting. A good high level of traffic. Your bees are taking in orange
pollen and yellow pollen and cream pollen - mine are collecting grey-green
pollen (which I think is bramble). It's thought that a variety of pollen is
beneficial just as a varied diet is for us.
I think there are a couple of fanners near the centre, they must be low status
because everyone just pushes past them and gets in the way of their flapping
wings.
Landing boards may be no use to bees but they are great fun for us humans to
watch. It is noticeably a different colour where the washboarders have been
obsessively cleaning it!
No sign of wasps, not surprising with that scrum of bees and a low entrance
deterring them.

I was very interested in Paul's account of washboarding because some of
the bees in my hive are doing the same thing. There are two distinct
groups of bees, one flying bees and the other washboarding bees.
Neither group seems to take notice of the other. The returning flying
bees are clearly focussed on getting to the entrance and sometimes have
to climb over washboarding bees to get in. The washboarding bees don't
seem to notice each other or the flying bees.
I've made a video and put it on
