Hello,
The swarm I got from Juli last Saturday seems to be happily settled in my
Warre hive. I set it up with top bars in the higher of two boxes, to avoid
the bees building comb in the lower box only, which is what happened last
year.
I'd like to add bars to the lower box at the weekend. I'm a bit concerned
that they may already be building comb that reaches into the lower box.
Through the windows, I can see the cluster of bees reaching into the lower
box space. Do you have some top tips?
