the river house is available as needed and until this is settled.
you can plan ahead, bring a burger or sub, and your homebrew.
it's only 8 miles from main st. I have tables and chairs. if the weather is
suitable
we can meet on the deck.
joe.

Subject: [OMB] Need location for our club meetings !!!!PLEASE READ AND
RESPOND!!!!
Hello Overmountain Brewers,
We no longer have the side room at Bonefire to meet at. They will be renting
that out to another business. They are working on their back room and may have
a place again in a few months or so.....
But that said, does anyone have any ideas about an Abingdon location that we
could meet at?
Here is what I can tell you as of right now:
1. In the past, MoonDog said it was out of the question to have homebrew, and
pretty rude to our entire group
2. Peppermill can't allow just meetings in rooms since they are one of the few
places open on Monday they fill all their tables with customers purchasing food
3. Shoney's in Abingdon does have a separate room that could be used. They
would expect some (doesn't have to be everyone) to eat there for the use of the
room. They sale wine and beer, so having homebrew shouldn't be a concern. BUT
the manager Jason that I spoke with will need to confirm with his boss and
hopes to have confirmation for me tomorrow 7/6/2017. I want to get this in
writing if I am told we are good, to ensure we don't have a repeat of the
MoonDog issues
If Shoney's doesn't work out, I can't think of another place in Abingdon that
would be open and that would have a room separate from the public.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Please chime in ASAP since our next meeting is Monday July 10, 2017.
Thank you,
Donna
