For those who text (and maybe you do and don't know it!), my affinity group
is offering a "text loop," which we discussed at the last meeting. Please
sign up for the service at your earliest convenience and ask others to do
the same so that we can build our ability to disseminate a rapid response

@redbubble is a “text loop” communication tool being offered to the
#StopNED community as one way to aid in decentralized rapid response among
affinity groups, and serves to complement the many email lists, phone trees
and social media outlets established by our allies.
In the event that large numbers of people are needed for an emergency
mobilization or related action, a text alert can be sent out to everyone
who has subscribed to this service.
Anyone with a phone that texts (doesn't have to be a “smart phone”) can
sign up for alerts.
*If any group has an alert to share with the network, *
*they can submit it for approval by admins (by sending to 23559).*
*In addition to relevant details, alerts must include the name of any *
*affiliated groups calling for assistance as well as a way to get more
info. *
*Note: Text loop admins do NOT have access to individual phone numbers.
*Detailed **subscription **instructions:*
Compose a new text message. The number you will send the message to is
23559. The body of the message must read: “@redbubble” (without quotations,
not case sensitive). You will need to include the “@” sign for it to work. *You
will receive a confirmation if done correctly. *
Proposed alerts can then be sent to 23559. You may be texted back for more
details.
