Thanks Jonathan. The site is remote (and perfect for the monk) but actually
that might make it attractive to a news media always looking for novel
situations. I agree we could do a wait-n'-see on this site, not only due to
the challenges you mention but also to allow time for archeological
considerations that were also discussed during our visit. There exists very
real possibilities of historical habitation on or near the site, something
we are now looking into.
It would probably be wise in any case, to have other sites on private land
in our radar. Is anyone looking into that?

Mary Wall's committed, she has many materials assembled for it --

for! As Diane said, the location is well situated in terms of the
pipeline's path, and the amazing ledges and boulders dramatize the
geological difficulties for burying a pipeline.
It is a very "un-public" spot -- in a remote part of Warwick at the end of
a long driveway. It won't be easy for press or groups of resisters to
access.
(But, interestingly, a Buddhist forest monk who's staying in the area says
he might be interested in helping occupy something like this. In that
respect, its remoteness might be a plus -- monk in forest shack…)
Before moving ahead, the three of us -- not sure about D.O., Diane or Mary
-- would like to be a little more certain that the pipeline project is "on"
and that this project fits in with the greater anti-pipeline strategy,
i.e., that there's a committed occupation, and publicity plans that will
take advantage of it.
Maybe tell Mary Wall we'll get back to her once the threat is clearer and
a good plan's been created of who and how to utilize the structure...?
Let me know feelings. On Wednesday I disappear for a retreat, my first.
