Hello all!
Yesterday was the first Sugar Shack meeting of the Spokes Council with Affinity
Group representatives! It was a large and productive meeting -- thank you to
all who came.
Our next meeting is Sunday, April 17 from 1-3:30, location TBA.
Attached are the minutes from the meeting. As requested, the Code of Conduct
and Mission Statement are included at the top, which will be standard procedure
from now on.
** There was a question that was meant to be asked at the meeting but got
pushed out due to the lack of time:Kori Feener is an independent, award-winning
filmmaker whose work has been screened across the country. Some of us got to
meet her during Taking Steps to a Renewable Future, where she joined us for a
couple days, and the Greenfield DPU hearing. She has been filming many pipeline
events recently, in the hopes of creating a documentary about our movement
against this pipeline! She wants to interview people, come to events, and
really just film as much as she can. She asked us if she could come to a SSA
meeting to film, but we wanted to check with everyone first, because we
understand that security is an important risk for some members. Kori agreed to
sign an agreement saying she won't release footage until after a certain,
agreed-upon date. She also offered to come to our next meeting with her camera
ready but feel out the situation first. If there are any objections to this,
please send them to me directly and we will proceed from there. If you'd like
more information and would like to speak to Kori, I can direct you to her.
That's all - Hope some of you are going to Albany tomorrow for the Rally to
Save NY from FERC! Happy snowy April days to you all!
