By the way, if you want to refer to a specific user on the list, you can safely 
user the userid (user number) - or the email address, since this will be 
crossed out in the public archive. It is probably best to avoid writing the 
username and (definitely) the password to the list.

Yes, using non-standard characters in the username will create problems of this 
kind.
I corrected the username to xxxxxxoxx
Observe that the system distinguishes between CAPITAL and small characters.
He should now be able to log in with username xxxxxxoxx and his password 
(again, CAPs or not matters) or make a new password (I cannot see or change 
passwords). 
Let me know if he still has problems.

Well, he tried to change the password, but he doesn't work. Is it 
possible for you to delete is account, so he could try to enter new 
login and password. I will told him not to use special letters or 
characters, maybe it will works then.
