"Q. I have several orchids and one of them has small black things on the
underside of the leaves.
...
[A :] It sounds like scale insects ("bumps" on leaves or stems that can be
easily rubbed off).

If it is scale, use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to wipe the scales away.
Repeat as necessary.
Avoid getting too much alcohol on the leaves.

If you have a lot of infested plants, place them away from your other
orchids and spray with an ultra-fine horticultural oil late in
the day.
Once the scales are under control, you can move the plants back into your
orchid collection."
