Okay, here’s are the E-stang rules (8-5-20)to get things going. They may
change as needed as we get into actual racing.
The Airplane
Airplane can have wing with either Dihedral (with or without ailerons) or
Straight wing with ailerons
Any motor up to 1200 kv
Prop is 8 x 5
Battery: LiPo up to 1300 mAh
To identify planes in the air, it is suggested that vertical stabilizer be
unique. Add some tape or paint or a number or something. Also consider wing
or fuselage color(s).
The Race
Race consists for four Heats
Five laps per Heat
Up to three planes per Heat
Planes must ROG, Rise Off Ground
Must fly around the pylons or at least to the pylons
One lap penalty for cutting a pylon or not going far enough
Two cuts is a Disqualified, DQ’d
Points award: First place = 3 points, Second place = 2 points, Third
place = 1 point
No one is allowed on the runway during the race.
