Go to the sysinternals site www.sysinternals.com which will redirect you
to the new location under technet at Microsoft and then you can try
Process Explorer it can show you what processes are running and which
has that dll hooked.

msvcr71.dll is a module containing standard C library functions such as
printf, memcpy, and cos. It is a part of the Microsoft C Runtime
Library.
