I don't know, but maybe that Web browser they produced a few years ago was one
of those "additional programs"!

the one that always confuses me is:

We may include additional programs with an order which may be used for trial
purposes only. You will have 30 days from the delivery date to evaluate these
programs. Any use of these programs after the 30 day trial period requires you
to obtain the applicable license. Programs licensed for trial purposes are
provided "as is" and we do not provide technical support or any warranties for
these programs.

what additional programs does an order include that are subject to this part
that aren't available via OTN and would fall under the other license terms (one
single prototype part)?

Well, if the fine print is in disagreement with the large print, courts will
usually hold the large print as binding. Especially when the terms are as
confusing as Oracle has made them. Of course, you have to be willing and able
to find them court.

After reading the actual licence terms (which I should have done

License that allows you to use full versions of the products only while
developing and prototyping your applications."

does sound a bit misleading to me, when compared to the details

I'll bet there are a lot of people who don't actually read the details
(me included), i should be more careful in future, good job
licencing's not part of my job role :-)
