Hi there,

We had a nightmare upgrade from 8.1.6 to 8.1.7 because of the way our
application code was written.

There were commits within cursor for loops - which caused the loop to end -
thus not dealing with all the data in the cursor.

Might be something to look out for,

good luck!

N.

The most common problem is the failure to disable the system level triggers
and job queues during the upgrade Are you using any of the OWA packages?
8.1.7 installs these in the sys schema and establishes public synonyms for
them. It is possible some of your programs will not work with these new
packages. It is quite probable WebDB will not work with sys.OWA packages.

If the database supports a third party application, be sure to visit that
site for cetification and known problems.
