There is a documentation for configuring single-node database with Oracle
Restart, and RAC databases with Clusterware, but apparently nothing about
integrating non-RAC databases in Clusterware.
We haven’t installed Clusterware just for fun – we had to because we keep our
data files on ACFS. Now, we’re thinking of using it to start crashed databases
and listeners, but only if that isn’t too much trouble. Otherwise, we have
another solution ready.
