Oracle 10gR2/Linux: During our last EMC-Clarion maintenance redundant disk paths were utilized to execute "hot" connection replacements. ASM was the only piece of software that failed, also crashing one of our databases. ASM can be configured to withstand this, but is seems like it is not part of default install.
