You are lucky.
Two days ago I needed to import a table from an export.
This export uses file list of output files.
The import failed because one of the names was specified twice in the file list.
Luckily the user could create the content again.

Just delete the old files in the start of a new run, or tell the backup software to remove it from disk after successful backup

Hi,

When running expdp if the dumpfile already exists we get the following
error:
ORA-39001: invalid argument value
ORA-39000: bad dump file specification
ORA-31641: unable to create dump file "/space/backup/hs.dmp"
ORA-27038: created file already exists
Additional information: 1

Is there any way to force overwrite the existing dump file?

Thanks
