1. Oracle Database Server 8.0.5 was de-supported long
ago.

2. There is no such thing as "Linux 5.2".
There was a release of Red Hat Linux whose version was
5.2.
Linux has a kernel version number.
Companies that provide distributions (e.g. Red Hat,
SuSE) have distribution release versions.

Please order some CDs with supported software, for
both your operating systems (cheapbytes.com) and
oracle database server (OTN).

Metalink has notes covering installation of Oracle on
Supported Linux distributions, such as Note:201370.1.
It highly recommends reading the installation guide
supplied with the database server software.

Currently, Oracle 9.2.0 is certified ONLY on the
following Intel Based Server Linux distributions:

- RHEL3 (See [NOTE:252217.1] Requirements for
Installing Oracle 9iR2 on RHEL3)
- Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1
- Suse SLES7, SLES8
- United Linux 1.0
