** obj and rowid

Hi,
I am looking up obj and rowid from trace file. I assume the obj id is
hexadecimal to be matched against sys.obj$.obj#. For rowid I am using the
chartorowid function. Can someone confirm if that is correct. Does Oracle have
a function to convert from hexadecimal ? hextoraw returns the same string
back. Thanks
