Hi Martin, Both of them have the same OS. These are test machines. Host 1 is 933 Mhz intel processor and Host 2 is 1.83 Ghz Intel T2400. Please find below cat /proc/cpuinfo from both hosts. Both of them belong to the same CPU family : 6 You said" In this case you just can copy the database and upgrade it." To my understanding, I just shutdown the database and copy all the database files including spfile and move it to Host 2. To upgrade it, do I run any upgrade script or is there a tool (like dbca) which would do this for me. I would appreciate if you could provide me with metalink doc id or a link explaining the same.
